Sushi Bazooka blasts out sushi rolls with plunger power

Lazy sushi chefs, rejoice, for the Sushi Bazooka is here to squish your rice and fish into recognizable rolls.

Finally, there's a kitchen gadget that panders to my lazy sushi-making skills. It's essentially a sushi extruder.

  • Pack the tube full of rice and whatever ingredients you want to go in the middle.
  • Close it.
  • Push down the plunger.
  • Roll up the resulting sushi log in seaweed.

Instant apathetic sushi!

Iran nuclear facilities 'Thunderstruck' by AC/DC malware

In 2010, Iran's nuclear facilities were infiltrated by Stuxnet, the centrifuge-wrecking malwareallegedly cooked up by the US government. Now they seem to have been hit again by a bizarre attack forcing nuclear plant workstations to pump the song Thunderstruck by heavy metal band AC/DC through the speakers at full volume.

News of the attack comes from Mikko Hypponen, chief research officer at Finnish computer security firm F-Secure, who says he recently received a series of emails from a scientist working at the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI):

"I am writing you to inform you that our nuclear program has once again been compromised and attacked by a new worm with exploits which have shut down our automation network at Natanz and another facility Fordo near Qom."

The Iranian scientist goes on to say that they believe the attackers used Metasploit, a common hacking tool which provides a variety of ways to penetrate supposedly secure networks. "There was also some music playing randomly on several of the workstations during the middle of the night with the volume maxed out," says the scientist. "I believe it was playing 'Thunderstruck' by AC/DC."

Keyboard cat... and MORE !

The Internet Cat Video Film Festival is set to take place on 30 August in Minneapolis. Some viewers spend precious free time trolling the interwebs for hilarious 30-second clips of feline tomfoolery.

Ya know what the REAL PROBLEM is ???

There are CATS with too much time on their hands!

They spend all the day sleeping and playing piano.

Not so cute anymore.

Comic-Con Once Again Marred By Increasingly Popular Bully-Con

SAN DIEGO—Sources confirmed Tuesday the comic book and sci-fi expo Comic-Con was once again tarnished by the presence of the increasingly popular Bully-Con, a brutal event held simultaneously in the same convention space and attended by some of the nation's most die-hard fans of pummeling nerds.

Now in its fifth year, Bully-Con reportedly drew more than 125,000 tormentors of all stripes to the San Diego Convention Center, many of whom said that for people really into making life miserable for those weaker than themselves, there was nothing quite like the massive four-day gathering.

"I don't necessarily have to travel to San Diego to slap a copy of Spider-Man out of some pussy's hands, but there's something special about coming together with thousands of people who really dig the same sort of cruelty you do," said Houston-area goon Marty Badolato, adding that he quickly made half a dozen new friends while shoving people exiting a Q&A with Tick creator Ben Edlund. "It just blew my mind to be in a single building completely surrounded by so many people making nerds flinch."

Proof I'm getting old...

To the tune of "These are a Few of my Favorite Things."
( I changed the words a bit...)

Rap music blaring from big bass drum speakers,
Kids paying hundreds of dollars for sneakers.
Twelve year olds covered with tattoos and bling,
These are a few of my least favorite things.

The Shadow of History

( i took this photo on July 4th at the National Constitution Center )

WhatWasThere - Put history in its place!

The WhatWasThere project was inspired by the realization that we could leverage technology and the connections it facilitates to provide a new human experience of time and space – a virtual time machine of sorts that allows users to navigate familiar streets as they appeared in the past.

The premise is simple: provide a platform where anyone can easily upload a photograph with two straightforward tags to provide context: Location and Year. If enough people upload enough photographs in enough places, together we will weave together a photographic history of the world (or at least any place covered by Google Maps). So wherever you are in the world, take a moment to upload a photograph and contribute to history!
