This reminds me of a horrible procedure I read about in The Zookeeper's Wife which details the Nazi occupation of Poland during WW2 and the saving of thousands of Jews by the directors of the Warsaw Zoo.
Nazi officers would regularly stop men on the street suspected of being Jewish and check to see if they were circumcised. If so, off to prison they'd go.
Also noted in this excellent book was cosmetic surgery performed on Jews to make them look more Aryan. Yes, nose jobs were performed as well as reverse circumcisions.
